 The Rex features four extremely bright LEDs in a single line array. The entire array has Freedom features which include variable brightness, multiple signal modes and an automatic SOS mode. The SOS mode will
blink continuously for hours without recharging, and is visible for miles. This feature, if used by stranded hikers or motorists, could enable search and rescue teams to locate people who might otherwise not be found. The most
important break-through feature of the Rex is, of course, its recharging ability. By simply connecting to any common battery, the Rex will recharge up to 500 times and signals when charging.
This light can operate for about 1 hour on a full charge and the average time to recharge is 2-4 hours. The Rex is water resistant and
produces a bright beam over 250 candlepower strong.
Future accessories include a solar panel recharging device and USB port re-charger. Due to be released at the Internationally renowned Outdoor Retailer convention in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 9-12th, the Rex will set a new standard for
personal flashlights. Owner Dallas Allen is quoted as saying, LRI has always produced micro lights with replaceable batteries and it is our goal to create products that will not harm the environment by leaving future generations with
landfills full of spent batteries. Our goal is to Respect, Recycle and Restore. Without exception, our future product releases will keep this philosophy at the forefront of the design and development process.
The future of LRI as a company has been looking exceptionally bright with the addition of two GSA contracts in 2007 for their American made products. Both Schedule 084 Law Enforcement and Schedule 078 Promotional Products contracts were
obtained. Additional membership with ASI added to the list of partnerships that LRI added this year. Being the best micro light and small flashlight manufacturer in the United States is a goal for every member of the LRI family and a
distinct possibility for this growing company.
