The Proton uses a single AA battery, Remove the end cap by turning counterclockwise, take out the spent battery and replace with a new battery. Then carefully align the threads and close the case.

  1. Separate the X-Light case halves by unsnapping them at the base by the key ring
  2. Replace with two CR-2016 Eveready lithium coin cells with the plus (+) side up
  3. Realign case halves and snap shut

  1. Carefully wedge open the tab on the bottom of the Photon case using a nail file or small screwdriver
  2. Replace with one CR2032 or two CR2016 Eveready lithium coin cells (depending on model and beam color) with the plus (+) side up
  3. Close by aligning tab and snapping shut

  1. Remove four screws from bottom of the Photon and flip case over so switch is on top
  2. Carefully separate top and bottom case
  3. Remove clear slide switch
  4. Hold bulb down with one finger and lift lead (wire) just enough to remove coin cells
  5. Replace with one CR-2032 or two CR-2016 lithium coin cells (depending on model and beam color) with the plus (+) side down
  6. Replace slide switch on slightly raised lead
  7. Position top case so slide switch extends through hole and close case
  8. Flip over and replace screws

To change the batteries, you’ll need a ball point pen or small pointed tool.

  1. First, carefully remove the cap on the logo side of the Freedom Micro Light using a small pointed object.
  2. Remove the old batteries and replace with new batteries Positive side up.
  3. Finally, align the tab and snap the case shut.
